Samurai Champloo is going to own my summer

I caught an episode of Samurai Champloo on cartoon network today (after the 3 hour marathon of the Clone Wars mini series) and it. kicks. ass. It is directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, the guy who did Cowboy Bebop. Champloo is awesome, i could go into detail, but why try to give it justice when i've only seen one episode? *high five* I also saw two episodes of another anime called One Peice. It's about a bunch of freakish cartoony-powered pirates looking for the greatest pirate treasure in the 7 seas, yarrr. The lead character is annoying as shit, but it's still pretty funny because everything is pirate-themed. :D And my last bit of entertainment news: i watched Blade Runner today. I borrowed it from Nigel, and it is really odd. But good. It's one of those movies that sets the standard for how to make a genre, and in this case it's SciFi.
ok enough pibbtainment news...

IT IS SUMMER. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

I sat around today and did two things: eat and go to the bathroom. I washed my hands before and after each, so stop making that face. My apartment is LOADED with food due to the party we had here after Chad's graduation. My dad's whole side of the family was here, save for my cousin Lucas who had a track meet. But mom and gramma and aunt mary ann brought TONS OF FOOD FOR MEEEE and left lots of food tha wasn't eaten, and guess what else.... THEY LEFT B33R!!!!!!! It was so weird to begin with, because i was going on a beer run for my parents... and grandparents.... o_O It was funny thought because i don't think kelsey or weel had ever seen me drinking before, and on top of that, Simon wanted a beer so bad and i would have let him too... and would have been chastised for doing so because he's only 18. (BUT IN GERMANY YOU CAN DRINK AT 16!) So anyway, one more thing about the grad party: cuz'n Liz's friend Jen looks/talks/acts/is a clone of Amy Spears. It's creepy, i don't want to talk about it, they are the same person... moving on!

Disgustingly excited about Star Wars this week. We (Nigel, Shark, WeeL, Vick, Stephanie, ME, and whoever else wants to join us) are going to be marathoning the entire series. Taking place at my STL house, we will watch Episodes 1 and 2, then (by a method of "timing") get up and go see episode 3 in the theater, AND THEN COME BACK HOME AND WATCH 4-6 OMARGZZZZZ!!!! It will be the best marathon of starwars film history. In other news, i've re-gained my rank of Uber Geek Chancellor of my zip code. Thank you all for the recognition. :P The commercials advertising for every SINGLE POSSIBLE STARWARS ANYTHING are kinda driving me kookoo. I hear the imperial march, only to look at the TV and see an advertisement for some stupid light-up spoon or M&M's or Burger King peice of shit. I see it and i say to myself "STOP DROOLING! THEY ARE TOYING WITH YOUR EMOTIONS!!!!" then after crying softly to myself, i turn the TV off.

My summer is off to a LOVELY start. A start of which involves no activity, no job, no plans, no money, no goals, no classes for next semester (HAHA!), no living with the parents, no car, and NO SUMMER SCHOOL SONOFABITCHDIEANDSUCKMYBALLS. But hopefully out of that list i'll aquire a job. The rest of the non-anythings can fuck off :-) COMMENTATOS!

5-5-05

Lee and i talked about waking up at 5:55am and yelling "Five!" five times... but i woke up at 6:30 for morning practice and didn't want to wake up any earlier. Especially since i slept in the dorms last night with shark. Cinco de Mayo is today, and few people know what it really celebrates. I looked it up, because of course i have two papers due tomorrow and needed to procrastinate. On the 5th of May, 1862, the Mexican army faught the French army in Peubla, Mexico. The French basically came to Mexico seeking expansion, they even sent a prince to rule their "new" mexico. But the Mexican cavalry kicked their ass, the US sent a few Union soldiers fresh from Gettysburg to help, and Mexico defended itself spectacularly for the first time in it's young life. VIVA MEXICO!

Ok, enough 5-5-5. I've got two papers to write.

Speaking of which, it's Joe Wilson's birthday today. (little bio on Joe - Freshman sprinter on the team, majoring in journalism, writes for satirical Misery Weekly on campus and loves being irish as much as he loves his mohawk) Joe's a cool guy.

I've got finals coming up, 4 of 'em. I'm scared for myself. I don't do well on tests. But I can devote the rest of my semester to studying so i'll be alright. Jessica has to do really well on one of her finals in order to keep her sterling GPA, and I hope her and I can stay focused enough to get our studying done. Chad has got his last run of finals IN-HIS-LIFE and then he's graduating. This will be a big thing for both of us... him graduating, and me observing what it will be like when he's "graduated". I really do learn alot from him, whether he knows it or not. Not just because he's my older brother, but because like me, he learns things the hard way and i really respect that. I'm excited to hear from him what it's like on the outside. hehe

have you heard of this site called BlogShares ? Apparently, i'm valued at $2,464.34
wtf?
i think it's based on how long i've been posting, how frequently i post, how many other blogs link to me, and how many links i have to other blogs.... i think the site is some finance major's pet project or something because it's really crazy on there. I'm worth more than Omar's blog at least, LOL!

Ok, i really gotta get cracking on those papers.
